Cornwall

During our holiday in Cornwall we visited many different locations, all of them really beautiful and interesting.
Probably, the most amazing one is The Minack Theatre in Porthcurno (photo above), the most famous cliff theatre in Britain, possibly in the world, carved into the granite cliff overlooking the spectacular panorama of Porthcurno bay. During the  summer season  plays, opera and musicals runs for seventeen weeks from May to September. A must to go if you visit Cornwall.
St Michael’s Mount is also a wonderful place to visit, it is an island located in front of Marazion coast. There you can find lovely gardens, the amazing castle surrounded by the historic village, the harbour and many others beautiful and interesting things.
What about Land’s End? It is situated on the westerly point of mainland Britain and is surrounded by spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, there are also many attractions to play and visit that make Land’s End a great family destination.
In this gallery there are few pictures taken at those places.

Cornwall Newquay and Eden Project St Austell

Cornwall

We have been on Holiday in Cornwall about 1 month ago. It was a really pleasant surprise for me, it’s a really beautiful country, with amazing landscapes, great beaches and many point of interest.
We rented a flat for one week in Newquay and hired a car to move around, and even if we were driving everyday to visit as many locations as possible, we left with many others still to visit, so really hope to come there soon.
During that week, we just had 2 sunny day, all the others very “crazy” weather, mostly cloudy but we enjoyed our holiday there regardless of the weather.
We started walking around Newquay the first day and I must say that is really an entertaining city, plenty of beaches there, really nice restaurant, clubs and attractions; and if you like surfing, well, that is the place to go.
The second day we went to visit “The Eden Project” in St Austell, what an amazing place! The Rainforest Biome and the Mediterranean Biome are a must to visit, the many outside gardens are simply stunning. It’s not only a place where you can observe and admire nature, but is mainly a place where you learn about it, this place is unique in Europe so really worth to visit it.

Well, this is the first post about Cornwall, others will follow as soon I have to the time to have a look to all the many other pictures taken during Cornwall holiday.
In this gallery there are the first few pictures of our holiday.
