Hoi An

After we left Da Nang we visited for few hours the lovely city of  Hoi An.

This city was declared a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1999, it is a stunning example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century with buildings that display a unique blend of local and foreign influences.

Walking along Hoi An street is very charming, there are  so many colorful art and craft shops, tailors, cafe and restaurant and many historical buildings  that make this place a great touristic place.

Da Nang

Da Nang

During our last trip in Vietnam, after Hue, we visited Da Nang. It is the  fourth  largest city of Vietnam and the major port in the south central coast of Vietnam.

We spent  there only a couple of hours, so not enough time to visit the many attractions of this city, but i was stunned by the Marble Mountains and the Buddhist temples and caves at the top.  Around the mountains there are many marble workshops and factories which make great marble sculptures and furniture.

There are many kilometers of beaches in and close to Da Nang that are ideal fro relaxing after a long walking up the marble mountain :-)

In this gallery  there are few pictures about that day.

Hue

Hue

We just come back from Vietnam where i had the opportunity to spend the TET, the Vietnamese new yer, with my Family. I spent there a really enjoyable time meeting all the relatives and breathing the authentic Vietnamese family values.

One of the cities i visited during my last visit is Hue, that was the national capital until 1945 and home of Emperors dynasty.

Hue is one of the UNESCO world Heritage Sites, and now i understand why. The Imperial Citadel, the Emperors tombs, the many temples  and pagoda, make this city unique, so rich of historical monuments and charming sites, Hue is a must.

To be honest i also enjoyed  the food very much :-) and for sure the people, very friendly and always ready to help.

The only little issue was the cloudy weather, this not allowed me to get any “blue sky” contrasted  pictures, but i really enjoy the place and really hope to come back there one day.

In this gallery there are few pictures taken in Hue.
