Just before Christmas, we have equipped our living room with a Flash Studio Kit, together with a background stand and other flash light modifiers . This is the greatest Xmas presents that me and my wife have received…from each other… to make our first home studio.

I really enjoy it, even if our living room is not very big,  i can still try to get some “studio like” pictures.

So in these days we are experimenting different lighting techniques that can suit our living room .

We called two models to our place to have a test shoot with our new studio setup, just to have an idea of the kind of pictures we can take at our home. I’m quite happy of the first result.

Mai made a really good Job as Make up artist, Stylist and Art Director.

The first model I’m showing you today is Gabrielle C. Rose, she is a beautiful Irish/Chinese mix, and even if she is quite young, she already have modelling experience so was easy for me to take her pictures.

This is the second part of the last photo session with Mai, after Red is now time for the Green.

Last week we went to a Belly Dance show in Central London.

One of ours friend was performing that night, she is a good belly dancer, so we were glad to go to the show.

We were quite late so we miss almost all the first half of the show, but luckily we were still able to see performing our friend.

I had my camera with me so i tried to get some pictures of the night.

I don’t have any pictures of her just because i really was in the wrong position when she started to perform and was not possible to move around to get a better angle. The room was crowded, the stage was just one meter away from the first set of chairs and i was stacked at the back of the room, so i had to wait for the second half of the show to move in a better position, just to avoid the heads of the people in front of me

So at the end i got some pictures of the second half of the show, you can find that photos in this gallery

Mai is not only a great Makeup artist, she is also a great Hair Stylist, Stylist and Art director so the last studio photo session went quite smooth  (for me ).

She was really busy changing makeup and dresses, so at the end of the day we were able to get many different outfit/makeup interesting combinations.

In this gallery  there are few pictures of the first hour we spent in the studio.

There are still others shoots to come of that day, I’ll post it hopefully before Xmas
